Frequently asked questions
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read and cut by your browser on your device. It isn't sent anywhere.
Can I save the cut as MP3?
This tool saves WAV, which plays everywhere. To get an MP3, open the WAV in the free aTube Catcher desktop app and convert it with an MP3 profile in the Video Converter.
Is there a size limit?
Files up to 200 MB. Long recordings use a lot of memory in the browser; for those, and for cutting many files, use the desktop app.
